The BeautyCares DreamBall is the beauty industry's philanthropic event of the year where we honor industry leaders, legends, heroes, advocates and survivors in support of the Look Good Feel Better program,
After an exuberant return to an in-person DreamBall gala in 2022, Look Good Feel Better is pleased to announce the BeautyCares DreamBall will be hosted on October 11th, at the beautiful Gotham Hall in New York City.
Over 1.95 million people will be diagnosed with cancer this year in the U.S.*, and we plan to be there to support them on their journey to recovery and wellness. This is made possible through your generous support.

The 2023 BeautyCares DreamBall Mistress of Ceremonies: Shelley Wade
Always at the intersection of pop culture and positivity, Shelley is an accomplished and versatile media personality who’s graced the airwaves of legendary radio stations like 97.9 The Box Houston, 104.3 MYfm Los Angeles, and she was the first African American to ever host a full-time show on Z100 New York. Also a TV personality and entertainment journalist, Shelley has appeared on the Today Show on NBC, The Talk on CBS, the Steve Harvey Show, CNN, MSNBC, Access Hollywood, Inside Edition and more. Shelley has been quoted in Time Magazine, the New York Daily News, People Magazine, the Associated Press and many other publications on pop culture news. Host of the All The Rage With Shelley Wade® podcast & digital reports, Shelley has interviewed boldface names like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, Will Smith, LL Cool J, Queen Latifah, Janet Jackson and more. As a voice-over artist, Shelley narrated a NASA documentary that played at the United Nations and has also voiced projects for Beyoncé, H.E.R., Missy Elliott, and more.
Shelley’s awards include: The A.I.R. Award for Best Midday Show in New York City; the Gracie Award for Best Music Interview; and the New York State Broadcasters Excellence in Broadcasting Award for Best Interview. Shelley has hosted several of New York’s top events, such as the Revlon Run/Walk for Women, the U.S. Open’s Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day, and she even sang the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden before a New York Knicks game. A native of Houston, Texas, where she studied radio and television in high school and college, Shelley is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and former president of the San Diego Association of Black Journalists.
The 2023 BeautyCares DreamBall Entertainment: Ryan Shaw
Ryan Shaw is a three-time GRAMMY® nominated artist for his solo projects, This is Ryan Shaw, In Between and Real Love. He has shared the world stage with such artists as Van Halen, Bonnie Raitt, John Legend, B.B. King and Jill Scott. Ryan starred as Judas in the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Olivier Award-winning London production of Jesus Christ Superstar, as the original Stevie Wonder in Motown: The Musical on Broadway, and on London’s West End as the Soul of Michael Jackson in Thriller Live. His concert schedule includes Radio City Music Hall’s Dream Concert benefit for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial; Carnegie Hall’s Elton John and Bernie Taupin Tribute, A Celebration of The African American Cultural Legacy, and Nat King Cole 100th with the NY Pops; The Kennedy Center’s Nat King Cole at 100 with the National Symphony Orchestra, and A Tribute to the Queen of Soul: Aretha Franklin with orchestras throughout North America. Ryan recently premiered his solo orchestral show, RYAN SHAW Masters of R&B at the Ferguson Center for the Arts with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra. His recent album, Imagining Marvin, includes Marvin Gaye hits, Ryan’s original songs and GRAMMY-winning co-writers and special guests.
