Welcome!

As Executive Director of the Personal Care Products Council Foundation and responsible for the Look Good…Feel Better program, I would like to welcome you to our new blog page. Here you will find weekly updates on the program, as well as any other exciting information that Look Good…Feel Better has to share. There will also be profiles on some of our extraordinary volunteers, along with a new section that will feature leading beauty experts who will share beauty tips with our readers.

For those of you that are not familiar with the program, Look Good…Feel Better is a non-medical, brand-neutral public service program that teaches beauty techniques to cancer patients to help them manage the appearance side effects of cancer treatment. Look Good…Feel Better group programs are open to all women with cancer who are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, or other forms of treatment. In the United States alone, 700,000 women have participated in the program, which now offers 14,500 group workshops nationwide in more than 2,500 locations.

Along with our new blog page, we have also completed a total redesign of our Look Good…Feel Better Web site. On our new site you will be able to locate programs in your area; find out information about our Women’s, Men’s and Teen’s programs; access our 12-Step Beauty Guide, hair and wig tips, and learn about the history of the program. We have also added some new features like our video library, and a partnership with InStyle.com linking to their extraordinary online makeover application. To see more of what our Web site has to offer please visit www.lookgoodfeelbetter.org.

Look Good…Feel Better is dedicated to improving the self-esteem and quality of life of people undergoing treatment for cancer. Through our programs, Web site, and blog we can share information, and inspiration to all those going through cancer treatment.

Sincerely,
Louanne Roark
