2bme.org fact sheet

Web Site Description
The site, www.2bMe.org, was created as a resource for teens ages 13 to 17 with cancer. Information on the site addresses appearance-related issues, health matters and concerns about peer relationships.

Site Development
Taylor Design, a firm based in Stamford, CT, developed the site. A team of cosmetologists, nutritionists, social workers and oncologists that work with teens created the copy. New York artist, Roxanna Baer, and Stacey Resnikoff, a professional writer, combined contemporary illustrations with trendy teen language for the Web site. The end product creates an exciting and entertaining way for teens to get helpful information on appearance, social and nutritional issues.

Background

Materials have been created exclusively for teenagers, and all program leaders receive specialized training to address physical, social and psychological issues relevant to adolescents.
